Formed in 2024, Raccoon Money is a busking trio playing old-time Americana and Celtic melodies. Raccoon Money's music journey began in Mexico, learning to play piano with Juan Vera. Juan's motorhome is parked right on the sand of the Lo de Marcos beach and front row to the open mic stage where campers gather weekly for margaritas and good music. The girls spent many evenings with Juan and the other musicians swimming, playing piano, and soaking up the warm, laid-back culture of Mexican beach life.  Soon after starting piano, the girls joined the Orquesta Escuela de Puerto Vallarta. Marin began cello at age 9, Mae violin at age 7 and Rosie violin/viola at age 5. Many orchestras later, the girls now study primarily with their current teachers in Kaohsiung, Taiwan and with fiddle player Rick Morton in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The girls have had fun busking in California, NYC, Japan, and Taiwan.
